About

Who We Are

Lily Rose Children’s Society is a Canadian-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children by strengthening the families and communities around them. We believe that children thrive best when caregivers are supported, families are stable, and communities are equipped with the tools they need to care for their own.

Our work focuses on family-centred care, prevention-based support, and long-term solutions that protect children while preserving dignity and hope. Based in Canada, we serve both local and international communities through ethical partnerships and accountable, community-driven programs.

A Message from Our Founder

Lily Rose Children’s Society was born out of a simple but deeply held belief: that
children thrive best when families are supported, strengthened, and given the tools to heal.

Over the years, I have worked alongside children, youth, and families facing profound challenges poverty, trauma, instability, and loss. Again and again, I saw that lasting change does not come from short-term fixes, but from walking with families, listening to their needs, and addressing the roots of hardship with compassion and respect.

Lily Rose was created to respond to those needs in a holistic way. Our work focuses not only on protecting children, but on strengthening the family structures that surround them supporting caregivers, empowering fathers, and building community-based solutions that preserve dignity and hope.

My own background and lived experience have shaped this vision. I am of Apache Native descent, and throughout my life I have learned the importance of community responsibility, intergenerational care, and honoring the inherent worth of every child. These values, combined with years of hands-on professional experience, guide the work of Lily Rose Children’s Society today.

Our mission is carried forward through partnerships, accountability, and a deep respect for the communities we serve — both in Canada and internationally. We are committed to ethical practices, transparency, and ensuring that every action we take truly benefits children and families.

Thank you for being here, for caring, and for choosing to stand with us.

With gratitude,

Our Mission

To support vulnerable children by strengthening families through access to basic needs, family – centered care, parenting education, and community-driven support — in Canada and internationally

Our Approach

At Lily Rose Children’s Society, we believe that protecting children requires more than emergency intervention. Our approach is grounded in prevention, family preservation, and long-term support.

We focus on:

  • Family-based care, whenever possible, rather than institutional solutions
  • Supporting caregivers and fathers with education and practical tools
  • Strengthening households to prevent family breakdown
  • Partnering with local organizations to ensure culturally respectful and sustainable programs
  • Maintaining strong accountability and oversight, including for all programs, including international initiatives

Our goal is to walk alongside families, not replace them — empowering communities to care for their children with dignity and stability.

Our Values

  • Dignity: Every child and family deserves respect, safety, and compassion
  • Family: Strong families are the foundation of healthy communities
  • Integrity: We are committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical practice
  • Prevention: Long-term solutions matter more than short-term fixes
  • Community: Sustainable change happens when communities are supported, not overriding
