Extending Hope Across Borders

Conflict in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has displaced countless families, forcing many to flee their homes in search of safety. Among them was a young family who came to Uganda with nothing but faith, resilience, and their baby boy.

Through Lily Rose Children’s Society, we were able to support this family during their transition by providing:

  • A safe home
  • Food assistance
  • Essential household items
  • Community connection and stability

Today, this family is no longer just receiving support — they are part of the Lily Rose community. The husband now actively assists in local outreach efforts in Uganda, giving back and strengthening the very mission that helped his family rebuild.

A Vision for Congo

Our long-term vision is to officially establish and register Lily Rose Children’s Society in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

We are prayerfully working alongside JP, a trusted leader who previously operated a children’s organization in Goma, DRC caring for over 100 children. Due to ongoing conflict and instability, he was forced to leave the country — and those children — behind.

Our heart is to one day:

  • Support vulnerable children directly within the DRC
  • Rebuild safe community networks
  • Partner with trusted local leaders
  • Provide stability for children affected by war and displacement

We believe that hope does not stop at a border.

Looking Forward

Lily Rose began with a simple mission: to walk alongside children and families in need with compassion, integrity, and practical support.

As we grow in Uganda, our prayer is that one day we will also serve children and families in Congo — restoring dignity, stability, and opportunity where it is needed most.

Together, we are building brighter futures — one child, one family, one community at a time.
